Donations are accepted Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. We accept new and gently used maternity clothing, children’s clothing (ages newborn to 6 years), breast pumps (manual and electric), baby equipment (swings, strollers and related accessories, bathing, feeding and bedding items). We also accept children’s books and puzzles.
We are NOT able to accept used car seats, full-size cribs and mattresses, stuffed animals or other toys.
Donors may receive a receipt for tax purposes. Donors declare the value of the goods that they have donated.
Annual Coat Drive
Each year, Welcome Baby hosts a coat drive, collecting new and gently used children’s coats, hats, gloves and scarves (ages newborn to 8 years). If you would like to hold a drive or offer a central drop-off spot, please contact us.
Alternative Holiday Markets
If your faith community hosts an alternative market and is interested in inviting Welcome Baby, please contact Cindy Riley, Volunteer Services Coordinator, at 919-560-7319.
Yarn Drive
In collaboration with the Durham County Cooperative Extension and the Butner Correctional Facility, we have become a collection site for yarn.
Any length, weight and color are appreciated. Once delivered to the facility, inmates knit beautiful blankets and hats for families.
